India not only harbours culturally diverse people but it also cherishes thousands recipes of cuisines and palatable dishes.
In India a large number of the population is vegetarian and hence their cuisine is characterised by the abundant use of fruits and vegetables. As a result, the extensive use of different fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices gives these food items a unique taste. One of such popular dishes is paneer Makhani. Paneer is an Indian version of cottage cheese.
It takes less than 30 minutes to get the dish prepared.
As the spices are common, they are super easy to find or collect.
The dish gives you the liberty to escape the flavour of regular food items and taste something new and unique
200 gram can of tomato puree
3 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoon fenugreek leaves or (1 tablespoon yellow mustard seeds)
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
Green chillies 2 pieces
Salt (as per taste)
Firstly, take a non-stick pan and melt the butter in it. Then, pour the entire can of tomato puree, red chilli powder, fenugreek leaves and green chillies
Secondly, stir the entire mixture for a couple of minutes to get it to blend thoroughly. Then get it to simmer for 4 to 5 minutes
Thirdly, add the entire fresh cream and garam masala powder and stir again. Please repeat the process of stirring the mixture for an additional 2 to 3 minutes
Finally, add paneer, the king ingredient and simmer it for a couple of minutes. Paneer Makhani is now ready to get serve hot.
Always try to keep the flame in low to medium heat
Before beginning the actual cooking slit the green chillies lengthwise
Cut the lump of paneer in square shapes
