Mushroom Snacks In 4 Super Easy Steps

Mushroom snacks can be prepared from various types of edible mushrooms such as shiitake, Portobello, crimini or button mushrooms. In this recipe, shiitake mushrooms have been used because they allow you to add an extra taste without sodium or fat.

Follow the steps given below and prepare mushroom snacks very easily at the comfort of your home.

Given below is the recipe of mushroom snacks

Mushroom snacks recipe ingredients:

For marination

  1. Mushroom(Shiitake) 200grams
  2. Corn flour 2.5 tablespoons
  3. Black pepper powder 1.5 teaspoon

For gravy

  1. Salt ( as per taste)
  2. Onion (King Size) 1 piece
  3. Garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Ginger paste 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Green chillies2 pieces
  6. oil (refined or mustard) 4 tablespoon
  7. Coriander leaves (few)
  8. Capsicum
  9. Red and green chilli sauce (few)
  10. Tomato Sauce 1.5 teaspoons
  11. Salt (as per taste)
  12. cornflour 1 teaspoon
  13. Sugar 1 teaspoon
  14. Soy sauce 1/2 teaspoon

 How To Marinate Mushrooms For Mushroom Snacks:

In the first step take 200grams mushrooms and clean them with fresh water. Therefore, cut them into convenient shapes and sizes. After that, take the onion and slice it properly. Then slice the capsicum into convenient sizes

The process of  Marination :

Take a glass bowl  ( fairly large) and pour the pieces of mushrooms in it. Therefore, add cornflour 2.5 tablespoons , pepper powder 1.5 teaspoon and salt  (as per taste) in same bowl. Then smear all the ingredients well with the pieces of mushrooms. To prevent the mixture from becoming too dry, add little water (in this mushroom snacks recipe 2 tablespoons water have been used) . After that, keep the mushrooms (smeared with cornflour, salt and pepper powder) for 15 minutes.

How fry mushrooms for snacks:

In order to fry mushrooms ( marinated earlier) take a kadai or a non-stick cookware and place it on the gas oven. Therefore, make the kadai warm and pour 4 tablespoons refined oil or mustard oil. As soon as the oil gets warm, pour mushrooms (little by little) and fry them well. While frying, you will notice that the mushrooms are turning brownish in colour.

 Preparation of Gravy for the snacks:

Take a frying pan and place it on the gas oven again. Therefore pour 2 tablespoons refined or mustard oil in it. Make the oil warm and add garlic (minced), green chillies  ( sliced), and stir them for a couple of minutes. While stirring add minced ginger into it and stir again. Immediately after it, add the sliced onions in it. Fry the onions, too, for a couple of minutes and the add capsicum (sliced) in it and stir well.

Therefore, the sauces like tomato sauce 1.5 teaspoon, red chilli sauce 1/2 teaspoon, green chilli sauce 1/2 teaspoon, soy sauce 1/2 teaspoon should be added to it respectively. Now you can add few sugar

Mix all the ingredients well and add a little bit water

Make the flame of the gas oven high and boil it(4 to 5 minutes).

Gravy is ready.

Finally, pour the fried mushrooms in the gravy that has just been prepared.

Stir it well and spread coriander leaves in the surface. The dish is ready.

Try it with rooti, parathas, or naan.
