Healthy chicken snacks recipe

Like many of our loved modern food items, the origin of the chicken nuggets (Chicken snacks) is a bit questionable. No one is absolutely certain who invented them. Robert C.Baker, a scientist and professor of Cornell University is often credited with the invention of the recipe in the early 1960s.

He was passionate about bird meat and as a result, he solved a big problem of the then slumping chicken industries At that time, people had to buy a whole chicken which was inconvenient to them because though the meat of an entire chicken was quite good to feed an entire family, it was definitely too much for just one person.

Moreover, roasting a whole chicken took a lot of time and effort. They found that they had less and less time to dedicate to make complicated meals. Thus, chicken nuggets or snacks offered a permanent solution to all these problems. In time, these snacks gained popularity and now they are getting prepared under various names.

In this recipe preparation of such snacks are shown

  • 200grams boneless chicken
  • 3 pieces of sliced bread
  • Bread crumbs (as per requirement)
  • 12 garlic cloves
  • 4 green chillies
  • 1 piece small onion
  • Salt: according to taste

chicken gravy recipe

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/2 Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • Refined oil 1 teaspoon
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • coriander leaves (few)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • Salt according to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • Additional refined oil for frying (as per requirement)

Step 1: Firstly, take 250grams of boneless chicken and cut them into small pieces. Now take 3 sliced breads and separate the brown portion with the help of a knife. Therefore, put all the chopped breads into a mixing jar and blend them well for 2 to 3 minutes.

After that, add 1-inch ginger piece, 10 to 12 garlic cloves, 4 pieces of green chillies, a small size onion, salt  (as per taste), 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder and lemon juice  (1 whole lemon) into the mixing jar and blend them well for 3 to 4 minutes. Thus, the desired smooth paste is prepared to coat the chicken pieces for making snacks

Step 2:  Secondly, smear the boneless chicken pieces with the smooth paste. (Different shapes can be given to the snacks. In this case, they are given the shape of a human finger)

Step 3: Thirdly, you have to prepare the solution of the eggs. Put 2 eggs in a glass bowl and add 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder and salt ( as per taste). Then add 2 tablespoons of milk powder and blend them well. Egg solution is ready.

Take the bread crumbs in a flat tray and add salt and pepper powder (few)

Put the finger-shaped chicken pieces (one by one) and dip them in the egg solution and coat them with the bread crumbs. Repeat the process to coat all the pieces. Thereafter, put all the pieces (all coated) in a refrigerator for 30 minutes. Use a tissue paper under the pieces before putting them in the refrigerator.

Finally, start the actual process of frying

Pour refined oil in a Kadai  ( a non-stick cookware) and put the flame of the gas oven in medium heat. Take care to notice that oil is warm enough for frying.

Do not fry the pieces in high flame because it will mar the entire process. Try to fry the each separate pieces for 2 to 3 minutes

You will notice that the finger-shaped snacks are turning into golden brown in colour. Chicken snacks are ready

Put the fried pieces in a kitchen tissue paper to soak the additional oil.
